Anyone who knows me, expects me to have a hot cup of tea in my hand at any given time- no matter the time of year. I typically use tea bags because they’re simple and I’m lazy. But recently I got this unicorn teainfuser and just had to have it.

Its made of BPA free silicone and splits in half to put the loose leaf tea inside.

After using this for a while, I found that my tea was not as strong as it typically is when I use my reusable tea bag. I at first thought it was because the unicorn doesn’t fit that much tea in it, but then I realized that the tea leaves weren’t able to expand inside the unicorn. The more the tea leaves expand- the more flavor you get.

Also, I do find it hard to drink the tea with the unicorn in the cup. I typically don’t take the tea bag out until I have finished the cup of tea, but found I had to take the unicorn out. This led to even less flavorful tea.

My overall opinion of this infused is that it will look adorable on my desk at work, but it is not feasible for me to use often.

I do think that this would be a great gift for kids or people who do not like strong tea.

Other uses for this could be:

  • put a piece of fruit inside or a sugar cube (do they still make those???) so you get small amounts of flavor
  • in the winter, you could put small cinnamon sticks inside and put that in your tea or cider

I think that this little unicorn has some good uses when making warm drinks, but a tea infuser is not one of them.

If you are interested in grabbing your own Unicorn Tea Infuser it is available on Amazon.

I am a HUGE fan of tea and recently I have begun drinking coffee, but I haven't found a way to make an afternoon cup while at the office. Instant coffee just isn't doing it for me and the caffeine content is about the same as a cup of tea.. just a different flavor. This was super disappointing when I found out.

Enter stage right... steeped coffee bags. Steep the coffee in hot water for 5 or more minutes until desired taste is achieved. This sounds like a great alternative to the granulated instant coffee that you typically get. I wasn't able to find the exact caffeine content of the coffee bags, but I can assume that the longer you steep, the higher the caffeine content.

The coffee bags are made from plant based and compostable materials, which means they're great for your garden as well. The website states that the coffee bags are sustainable sourced from specific regions to achieve specific flavors.

These coffee bags would be great if you like to travel or you are in the office and don't want to make a full pot of coffee. All you need is a microwave.

A heated eye mask? Yes, please.

The face is one of the hardest places for me to relax. The addition of heat would make this so much better.

This heated eye mask can run for 2- 30 minute sessions and will turn off automatically after 30 minutes to avoid burns and over heating.

I like the wrap around the head idea which will not only help keep the mask on, but it will block our more light. Also, it makes it longer lasting than those eye masks with elastic straps which stretch over time.

The mask is also washable, which is amazing for those nights when you're just too tired to wash your face.

This is a new product on Amazon, and it's already got a 4 star review!

A self cleaning water bottle with it's own water purifying system.. wait what? are you for real?

Found this water bottle on Amazon, produced by LARQ, who are claiming this is the first self cleaning water bottle.
  • non-toxic
  • mercury free
  • USB chargeable (up to a full month)
  • 17 oz/ 500 ml
  • Cold for 24 hours
  • Hot for 12 hours
  • 6 colors: black, pink, blue, silver, gold, light blue
So how does it purify the water and clean? it uses a UV light which kills bacteria inside the water bottle. It cleans by itself every 2 hours. and the filtration is activated with the touch of a button and filters the water within 60 seconds.

The UV light kills the following germs (as found by a third party testing lab):
  • E. Coli
  • MRSA
  • Salmonella
  • Staph
It won't work against heavy metals or chemicals, but can keep your water bottle and water germ free.

The company also offers a 1 year warranty on the water bottle.

Reading through the comments, some people love it, other don't believe that it can work the way it has claimed to.

I personally think this water bottle is a really cool idea and may possibly be able to help stop the spread of germs for people who forget to wash out their bottle frequently or who come into contact with a lot of these types of germs. But my verdict is still out on this product.

Check it out here and tell me in the comments what you think about this water bottle.

I saw this beautiful folding knife that is rainbow colored. I love rainbow colors and this would definitely be a knife that I would buy for myself.

This knife is on Amazon for about $14, which is a really good price for a knife. It has a folding button on the top of the handle to allow it to fold. It has 4.5 stars out of 349 reviews, which is a pretty good rate.

I also love that it has some roses engraved on the blade and the handle.

I was looking at bubble bath scents and trying to decide if I wanted something organic, all natural, with essential oils.. god there are so many options to choose from.. and then you have to choose a scent.. If you have a good recommendation.. leave me a comment, please!

But.. back to the point. I came across this weird looking mat thing. Turns out, you put this in your tub (completely waterproof) and using it's little pump, if release air bubbles that create a hot tub type tub in any bathtub! You just put it in the bottom and sit on it. It's apparently even comfortable.

The reviews on it are surprising. I figured that this thing would have some weird reviews.. but people are saying that they love it. The 2 downsides I see are a little bit of noise, not a whole lot, but not something to run while people are sleeping kind of noise. But noise carries at night. The second issue I see is that the suction cups that hold it to the bottom of the tub don't last.

So the next time that you want to bribe your other half to get a hot tub or Jacuzzi tub, you can always settle on this.  It run's about $90 and you can pick it up on Amazon here.
